John D. Campbell, Chairman
John D. Campbell, Chairman of the Rippel Board of Trustees, spent 33 years with Goldman Sachs. After a successful career with Goldman Sachs, John retired as Managing Director in the Asset Management Division. Earlier in his career, John practiced law in New Jersey with the former firm of Pitney, Hardin & Kipp. John also spent a year in Los Angeles with VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America)*, the
"Domestic Peace Corps." There, he played an important role facilitating an urban redevelopment project. Over the years, John has served on the boards and investment committees of several nonprofit organizations. He joined the Rippel Foundation as a member of the Investment Committee in 2003 and became a Trustee the following year. John and his wife have two daughters and two grandchildren. He received his B.A. from Princeton University in 1963 and his L.L.B. from Columbia Law School in 1966.
* In 1993, VISTA became part of the AmeriCorps program and was renamed "AmeriCorps*VISTA"
