Rippel Conducts Focus Groups with Healthcare ConsumersThe Rippel Foundation has been conducting focus groups in Richmond, Virginia; Denver, Colorado; and Chicago, Illinois to determine how the public feels about health and healthcare, how people define quality healthcare, and whether they think that prevention and overall wellness can make a difference in how we experience healthcare in the U.S.
In addition, we are testing some of our healthcare reform messages and gathering feedback about whether they are strong and convincing or unappealing. Specifically, we are focusing on messages around unnecessary care, the overall quality of healthcare, payment reform, preventative measures, models of care, and the infrastructure of the overall healthcare system.
The insights from these focus groups will be used as the basis of a national survey of consumer attitudes toward health and healthcare and to inform the Rippel Foundation’s ongoing Re>Think Health project, an initiative that aims to achieve better health, better care, and lower costs for Americans.
